The Australia India Chamber of Commerce (AICC), in partnership with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), convened a Leadership & Networking Forum bringing together senior representatives from academia, industry and the innovation ecosystem.

AICC was honoured to host a distinguished panel of thought leaders, including Dr V. Ramgopal Rao, BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus and former Director of IIT Delhi; Mr Amit Gossain, Managing Director, KONE Elevators India; Professor Aniruddha Desai, La Trobe University; and Dr Chetan Arora, Monash University.

The discussion highlighted the significant opportunities at the intersection of education, industry, artificial intelligence, research and technology. It reinforced the importance of deeper and more structured Australia–India collaboration to strengthen talent development, research translation and innovation-led growth.

There was strong alignment across sectors on the need to develop practical, scalable pathways that better connect institutions, industry and government in an increasingly dynamic global economy.
