Entrepreneur and India-business expert, Jasmine Batra presented at the Australia India of Chamber (AICC) 'How India - Getting Started' workshop at La Trobe University, Melbourne city campus. Her presentation included advice on suitable provinces for the most common industries, how to reduce risk, the big business families of India, India's latest governmental policies, and new trends with the Unified Payment Interface. La Trobe University also shared information on their initiatives in India, particularly with respect to entrepreneurship and startups.
A strategist and business mentor with a history of driving change, Jasmine founded the award-winning digital growth agency Arrow Digital in 2007 and now leads a team of over fifteen specialists. Working with a range of businesses from small and mid-size to corporates, Arrow has helped over a thousand clients to date, including AGL, Telstra and the Queensland Government.
AICC Chairman, Chris Mooney also announced that the chamber will be launching the Luxury Brands & Tourism National Industry Group. This sector specific group will complement the other NIGs that include Critical Minerals, Space & Spatial, Education & Training, Technology, Innovation & Startups, Fintech, Real Estate & Infrastructure, and Agribusiness (Food & Beverage).
Chris Mooney also announced that the next annual conference for the Australia India Chamber of Commerce would be held in Sydney in November, 2024, where each of the NIGs would present on their activities for the year. "Our National Industry Groups are the primary way we can create information and energy around 'How to' get started in India," Mr Mooney said.
