The State Government of Bihar in India is hosting 'Bihar Business Connect 2023,' a Global Investors' Summit scheduled for December 13 to 14, 2023, at Gyan Bhawan in Patna.

Over the past years, the State Government of Bihar has transformed the industrial landscape of the state, establishing it as one of India's largest consumer markets. Bihar holds increasing significance in India's business landscape due to its burgeoning consumer market, improving infrastructure, and investor-friendly policies. The state offers substantial opportunities in agriculture, manufacturing, IT, and tourism sectors, making it a prime destination for businesses seeking growth and expansion in India's vibrant economy.

Industry minister Samir Kumar Mahaseth said on Friday most of the investments coming to India end up in the same seven or eight major states. "Our goal is to turn Bihar into a major investment hub." To showcase this dynamic industrial landscape, they have organised a two-day mega event called 'Bihar Business Connect 2023. This event will facilitate business networking, informative discussions, and sessions to explore synergies and partnership opportunities. The main sectors of focus for this event include:

• IT/ITeS & ESDM
• Textile & Leather
• Food Processing
• Hospitality & Tourism, accompanied by relevant field visits.

A plenary session on the second day where the Honourable Chief Minister as well as  ministers & senior government officers will participate. In the second half of the day, one-to-one B2G meetings will be held. Visits to to Nalanda, Rajgir and Bodh Gaya will also be organised for interested participants.

This presents an excellent opportunity for Australian companies and stakeholders to engage with their Indian counterparts.
